We hope you came away feeling enriched and empowered by the content covered at Cloud and Security Summit 2017, August 2 – 4. It was great seeing over 500 partners from the ASEAN and Hong Kong regions rally around the latest breakthroughs in cloud and security. We’d like to thank you for attending, for engaging with our vendors, partners and Ingram Micro associates, and for making our event a success. Your participation reaffirms Ingram Micro’s belief in providing you with the toolbox to be successful in growing your Cloud and Security business.
Ingram Micro Executive VP and Group President, Asia Pacific, Mike Zilis and Francis Choo, Vice President and Chief Country Executive, ASEAN & Hong Kong kicked off the summit by welcoming partners and articulating how as the only global technology products and services distributor with a presence in ASEAN and Hong Kong, spanning a total of nine countries, Ingram Micro is well poised to “bring the technology from the people who made it to the people who sell it.”
Here are some key takeaways from the many digital transformation leaders who spoke to inspire and educate.
Renée Bergeron (@ReneeIMCloud), Senior Vice President of Global Cloud Channel at Ingram Micro, kicked off day three with her keynote on “Reinventing the Customer Experience in the Connected Economy”. Noting that digital commerce now accounts for 22% of the world’s economy and growing, Bergeron’s choice of topic was a timely reminder to partners on the importance of riding the digital transformation wave so as to deliver on evolving customer expectations. She highlighted service, speed and personalisation as key areas for enhancement and cited several case studies, including one of a Singaporean restaurant chain which deploys drones to serve its customers at a faster rate and lower cost.
Charlie Chye, Director of Security Consulting & Services at Ingram Micro, delved into “Powerful Security Services Strategy for High Customer Satisfaction” in his general session. Chye defined customer centric as delivering the outcome expected by customers with a secondary objective of repeating business – “the goal is to assist [Ingram Micro] partners to have a competitive edge and not to perform the services that partners are able to provide”. He credits his systematic services approach – outcome definition, assess, design, operate and operation support – for his success in leading CNAV, now a Security Consulting and Services division under Ingram Micro.
These highlights are but a snapshot of the wide range of topics covered at our summit, which covered everything from tapping into the power of cognitive to rethinking the cloud and security stack. It is important to us that your learnings can be applied in the real world, so we’ve compiled an e-book titled “A Primer for Partners in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong” to recap and augment your Cloud and Security Summit 2017 experience.
